Sullivan West Central School District is one of New York State’s “youngest” school districts. Created only ten years ago by the merger of the Narrowsburg, Delaware Valley, and Jeffersonville-Youngsville Central School Districts, today our district spreads over 250 square miles of woods, streams, farmland and mountains, and enrolls over 1300 students in grades preK – 12. We are justifiably proud of our schools and of our students. Our High School is an impressive modern school building, opened in 2003, that overlooks Lake Huntington. Our Elementary School is a stately, historic building, perched on a hillside above the picturesque village of Jeffersonville. Erected in 1938 by the Public Works Administration, and included on the National Registry of Historic Buildings, this totally-modernized school was modeled on the Governor’s Palace at Williamsburg, Virginia.
