Congratulations Sullivan West Stand Out Denise Jungblut

Denise’s nomination read: “Denise has shown such compassion in her role here at the middle/high school and consistently goes above and beyond to support our students. She takes a genuine interest in each student’s academic success, well-being, and personal growth. Students trust and confide in her and appreciate her empathy and understanding and her ability to share with students what they need to hear, even if it is not always what they want to hear. Her ability to strike this balance has helped so many of our students develop important life skills of self-awareness and personal responsibility.  Our students also know and appreciate that they have someone to count on if they are in any sort of dilemma or trouble. If Denise sees a potential issue brewing, she is quick to relay the information to administration and/or guidance in order to help prevent issues from escalating and to help keep our students safe.”
Denise embodies the compassion, kindness, and dedication that our school community strives to uphold and I truly believe she is deserving of this recognition.
Denise has 2 children currently attending Sullivan West Elementary. She has worked in the district for several years. She started out in the cafeteria, then becoming a 3 hr. aide and most recently a full-time aide at the MSHS. In her spare time she enjoys gardening and her family.
We are grateful for staff members like Denise who genuinely care and do so much for our students.
