It is with great pleasure that I am introducing December’s Sullivan West Standout Amanda Ebert! Or as you may have seen on the back of her Sullivan West sports jersey, “Mama Ebert”. Mrs. Ebert was recommended by her co-workers for her positive attitude, helpful nature, and commitment to Sullivan West. Her nomination stated that she is a wonderful person to work with, she knows how to speak with the students and is always calm. She will help out whenever and wherever needed.
Mrs. Ebert has worked in the district since the spring of 2021 when the school was just coming out of a hybrid schedule. She began as a three-hour aide. From there. In 2022 she became a full-time aide, splitting her time supporting students and assisting in the Athletic Director's office. When she is not in school, Mrs. Ebert enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family, her three sons Collin, Evan and Max, who attend or recently attended Sullivan West. You can find her at all of their sporting events.
When asked what she loves the most about the job, she said it's relationships with the students, being able to joke around and have fun with them. She enjoys all their personalities and talking with them. You can tell that they respect her by their interactions in the cafeteria. A duty most people would like to avoid but she does with a smile on her face. And that is how Mrs. Ebert makes Sullivan West a great place to be!
